Assistant Professor of Family & Preventive Medicine  
The Department of Family Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Practitioner for University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Southwest Family Medicine Residency Program. The Assistant Professor faculty level position will support the educational, patient care, and quality improvement missions of UAMS Southwest Family Medicine Residency Program. Position is 90% clinical and 10% clinical admin. The compensation package includes competitive salary and generous benefits.  
 
The UAMS Southwest Family Medicine Residency Program was founded in 1993 and is one of seven sister residency programs throughout the state of Arkansas. UAMS Southwest is an 8-8-8 Family Medicine Residency Programs and is affiliated with two local hospitals, Christus St. Michael Health and Wadley Regional Medical Center.  
 
Job Description  
The Department of Family & Preventive Medicine in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences invites applications for a Board-certified family physician and faculty member, who will actively participate in resident teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activity related to Family Medicine. Applicants must possess or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Arkansas and Texas. The successful candidate will become an employee of The University of Arkansas with an annual salary based on experience and a full benefits package. Job Responsibilities: Applicants teach and mentor residents in the inpatient and outpatient settings serving as leader and role model.  The successful candidate will provide outstanding care to patients and work collaboratively with other faculty members to help advance a high-quality Family Medicine Residency Program.  

Required Experience  
  • MD/DO degree 
  • Arkansas Medical License 
  • DEA Certificate 
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine
