Washington Regional Medical System in Fayetteville, AR, is currently seeking a full-time BC/BE, Fellowship trained Geriatrician. The ideal candidate will be committed to clinical excellence in a strong health care system which offers full practice support with a large referral base from 200+ employed physicians and Advanced Practice Providers.
What you can expect:
- The geriatrician will see primary care patients and geriatrics referrals from other primary care providers
- Manage complex medical conditions, co-morbid mental illnesses, pain management issues, and a variety of psychosocial conditions with active collaboration with the multi-disciplinary teams
- Responsible for clinical care for older patients with multiple complex health problems in outpatient settings
- Communicates and consults regularly with provider partners in primary and specialty care to assist in the care of geriatric patients as needed
- With support from team, addresses areas of care that are important for aging patients including activities of daily living, medication side effects and interactions, and advance care planning
- Collaborates with and/or supervises nurse practitioners or physician assistants, as appropriate, in providing the best patient care
- ·Attends staff and medical provider meetings and maintains a level of involvement with the health center committees, as needed, to ensure quality patient care
- Fosters and encourages an attitude of teamwork
Requirements:
- BC/BE
- Fellowship-Trained
- Doctor of medicine or osteopathy degree from an accredited institution of medicine of osteopathy
