The rapidly expanding Cardiology Division in the Department of Internal Medicine is actively recruiting a fellowship trained Interventional Cardiology faculty member to join UAMS Health in Little Rock, Arkansas. The candidate must be board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. The applicant is expected to demonstrate expertise in a broad variety of cardiac and complex coronary interventional procedures. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the clinical, educational, research, and administrative functions of the Cardiology Division.
Join a growing program with 15 faculty, 12 general fellows, 3 interventional fellows, and 2 electrophysiology fellows. Individuals with all levels of experience and seniority will be considered on a competitive basis. Compensation and benefits are highly competitive.
Position Details

- 1 day in clinic
- 2+ days in cath lab
- STEMI call rotation, 1:4
- Structural expertise preferred but not essential
- New structural heart lab built in 2020 with growing structural volumes and excellent imaging support
- Requires interest in mechanical circulatory support, including ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation), given rapidly expanding VV, VA, and ECPR ECMO programs
- Highly supportive and collegial environment within cardiology, as well as surgical specialties
- Increasing volume of high risk and complex coronary interventions
- Interested candidates may have the opportunity to grow the peripheral interventional program
- Active participation in general and interventional fellows’ education
